Enable or Increase Retraction Settings:
In your Slicing Software, find the corresponding setting for Retraction Settings and make sure it's enabled. Adjust the following settings as needed. If the print quality improves but still has defects, continue to increase the retraction length, or speed.

Retraction Speed: This setting determines how quickly the filament is retracted. It is measured in millimeters per second (mm/s). A typical retraction speed is between 20 to 60 mm/s, but this can vary based on your printer and filament.
Retraction Minimum Travel: Some slicers allow you to specify the minimum distance the nozzle must travel before a retraction is triggered. This helps avoid unnecessary retractions for very short moves. You can set this value to avoid over-retraction.
Wipe While Retracting: Some slicers provide an option to enable wiping while retracting. This means that the nozzle will perform a small wiping motion while retracting, helping to clear any remaining filament from the nozzle.
Z-Hop or Lift on Retract: Z-hop or lift on retract is an option that lifts the nozzle slightly (in the Z-axis) during retraction to prevent the nozzle from hitting printed parts. This can help reduce print defects caused by nozzle collisions.

Temp Tower Calibration: alternatively, retraction issues may seemingly be caused by printing temperature. You can be sure by printing a Temp Calibration Tower which will also show you how well retraction performs for bridges, overhangs, and tips across different temperatures
