Matter Manifest Designer Beta
The ability to design products using a 3D printer is an incredible skill. Unfortunately, Designers are not set up for success in how much they can earn for the time spent creating new products.
A Marketplace That Addresses 3 Key Problems
1. User Error & Compatibility
Problem: Setting up a 3D printer can be more complicated than an appliance. Newbies who just bought a entry level 3D printer are met with incomplete information, too many technical terms and a toxic online community that will ridicule them for asking basic questions. Most of these folks never make it past the first few prints, and will never see any of the designs you have listed.
Solution: In the age of AI, users expect things to "just work." Our centralized system delivers ready-to-print files tailored to popular printers, reducing the need for calibration or technical know-how. This allows your designs to reach a wider audience without being tied to one specific platform or hardware setup.
2. Earning from Physical Sales
Problem: The users that make it past the initial printer learning curve get comfortable enough with their printer that they want to sell printed items for a profit. This becomes a second hurdle where they require a ton of digital infrastructure to create and market their own online business.
Solution: Selling 3D Prints is already an economy that runs across Etsy and local markets. We can simplify the seller experience so they can source products, purchase commercial licenses, and start taking orders digitally as soon as possible. Combining the best tools into one, 3D designers can empower their sellers and mutually earn more from physical sales.
3. IP Protection
Problem: The status quo in selling designs is directly sharing your 3D models, which can be re-shared as soon as it's downloaded. There is no technical barrier for theft or misuse which makes it difficult to enforce copyright.
Solution: Our AutoSlicer server generates gcode automatically, keeping your original models secure. It uses PrusaSlicer on trusted servers with verified profiles for popular printers. While not completely theft-proof, this makes reverse engineering much harder by obscuring the original mesh behind support structures and slicing lines.
